Gymshark Landmark Running Challenge

By taking part in the challenge, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

  1. THE CHALLENGE
    • We want you to run collectively the total distance between some of the most popular landmarks in the world, starting at Gymshark HQ in Birmingham, UK, and ending at Gymshark US in Denver, USA.
    • The route is: Gymshark HQ -> Big Ben -> Eiffel Tower -> Leaning Tower of Pisa -> Pyramids of Giza -> Taj Mahal -> Sydney Opera House -> Christ the Redeemer Statue -> Statue of Liberty -> CN Tower -> Gymshark US.
    • The total running distance of the challenge is 41,000KM.
  2. PROMOTER
    • This challenge is promoted by Gymshark Ltd of GSHQ Blythe Valley Park, 3 Central Boulevard, Solihull, United Kingdom, B90 8AB
  3. HOW TO ENTER
    • To enter the challenge, you must join the Gymshark Running Club (https://gym.sh/Strava), and track your runs and upload them into the Gymshark Running Club.
    • By submitting your entry, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
    • The challenge is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
  4. START DATE
    • This challenge begins at 7am on Monday 23 November 2020.
  5. CLOSING DATE
    • This challenge ends when the total distance of the challenge specified in condition 1.3 above has been met.
  6. ELIGIBILITY
    • Entrants must be aged 18 years or over to participate in the challenge.
    • By participating in this challenge, you agree you are doing so at your own risk and will exercise within your own capabilities. You are responsible for selecting a safe route to run and are running at their own risk. We will not be responsible for injury or illness resulting from participation.
  7. TOP 20 ENTRANTS
    • We will keep track of the total distance run for the challenge in the Gymshark Running Club using the integrated distance tracker on Strava, and selecting the top 20 entrants who have contributed the most distance during the challenge based on the integrated leader board within Strava.
    • We will make an announcement no later than 24 hours after the challenge has been completed announcing the top 20 entrants and asking them to direct message us on Twitter by no later than 14 days after the completion of the challenge in order to claim their prize.
    • If a top 20 entrant does not direct message us within 14 days of being notified by us, then their prize will be forfeited and awarded to the next eligible entrant.
  8. PRIZES
    • We will reward the top 20 entrants that have contributed the most distance during the challenge with the following prizes:
      1. 1st place - £150 worth of Gymshark products
      2. 2nd-5th place - £100 worth of Gymshark products
      3. 5th-10th place - £60 worth of Gymshark products
      4. 10th-20th place - £30 worth of Gymshark products
    • Prizes are subject to confirmation (i.e. we can contact the top 20 entrants and can confirm eligibility).
    • We reserve the right to replace any prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
    • We reserve the right to withdraw the prize (or any part of it) if any entrant breaches any of the terms in these terms and conditions or if they are found to have acted in a dishonest or fraudulent manner.
  9. PUBLICITY & DATA PROTECTION

We will only process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice and as set out in these terms and conditions with regard to the announcement of the top 20 entrants and fulfilment, delivery and arrangement of prizes.

  1. OUR LIABILITY

While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud, we will not be legally responsible to entrants for any losses that were not foreseeable to us or to you at the time of entry to this challenge or which are caused by a third party.

  1. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
    • These terms and conditions will be governed by laws of England and Wales.
    • We and you each agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
  2. PREVAILING LANGUAGE

The English language version of these terms and conditions will be controlling in all respects and will prevail in case of any inconsistencies with translated versions, if any.
